Job summary

Taylor Forgings Ltd. is offering a Machine Shop Apprentice role, training you to operate manual lathes, milling and drilling machines while progressing programming for CNC machinery. You’ll learn to read engineering drawings and handle crane and forklift operations as needed.

You will study with apprenticeship specialists, RNN Group, at their Worksop campus on a day-release format, building a solid foundation for a long-term career in engineering.

Qualifications

• Set and operate manual lathes, milling and drilling machines.
• Understand and read engineering drawings/symbols.
• Work towards programming, setting and operation of CNC machinery.
• Operate overhead crane (when trained).
• Operate forklift truck (when trained).
• Undertake final inspections of finished components.

Responsibilities

• Learn alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of tasks.
• Complete training with RNN Group at Worksop campus on a day release format.
• Maintain a clean, organised and productive work area.
