Job summary

Recruit4staff is recruiting for a Machine Setter in Leicester to join a leading packaging manufacturer. The role is permanent with double-day shifts (6:00am-1:30pm and 1:20pm-8:50pm) and a pension scheme plus generous holiday entitlement.

You will work on folding machinery, ensuring products meet stringent quality standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace in line with 5S principles. Ideal candidates will have prior experience setting and operating folding equipment in

Qualifications

• Previous experience setting and operating folding machinery in manufacturing.
• PC literate and able to read packaging specifications.
• Experience in printing/packaging environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate folding machinery to produce high-quality cartons.
• Complete make-readies on complex cartons (4-corner, crash lock bases, internal fitments).
• Produce packing labels and ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain a clean, 5S-compliant work area.

Job Role: The Machine Setter will be responsible for setting and operating folding machinery to ensure products are produced to the highest quality standards. The successful Machine Setter will complete make-readies on complex cartons including 4-corner cartons, crash lock bases, internal fitments and double-wall cartons, produce packing labels, and maintain a clean and organised work area in line with 5S standards.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous experience setting and operating machinery, ideally within printing, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, or similar production environments
• PC literate

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous experience within the print and packaging industry
• Knowledge of HHS Gluing Systems
