Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate production machinery.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow safety, hygiene and quality procedures.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

We are recruiting for a Machine Setter / Senior Machine Setter to join an established food manufacturing operation. You will play a key role in setting up and adjusting production machinery, completing product changeovers and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The senior position may also offer opportunities to take on team leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust and operate production machinery.
• Carry out product changeovers efficiently to minimise disruption and downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify faults and make necessary adjustments.
• Complete routine equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks.
• Work with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all relevant safety, hygiene and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and production targets.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• A practical, hands-on approach to machinery and problem-solving.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A reliable attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience as a Machine Setter, Production Setter, Machine Operator or Line Technician would be advantageous.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment.
• Knowledge of machine setting, product changeovers and mechanical adjustments.
• Experience identifying and resolving equipment issues.
• Understanding of quality standards, hygiene and food safety.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience for the senior position.
