Machine Setter - Extrusion Blow Moulding

Days: Monday to Friday (7am – 4pm)

Salary: Dependent on experience - Experienced £38,000 - £40,500; Trainee from £30,000

Location: Golborne (WA3) – easily accessed via M6 Junction 24

We have an opening in our Set-up team at our Golborne UK plant (WA3). This role offers potential growth through progressive training and development.

Purpose of the role:

Setting blow molding/injection machines to ensure products meet specified standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure machines and equipment are in good working order; report defects and carry out remedial work within your competence to minimise downtime.
2. Verify product quality at the packing station; complete relevant paperwork and communicate any special instructions to supervision.
3. Perform sampling procedures as instructed; record results and suggest improvements to the Technical Department.
4. Report mechanical or electrical issues to supervision for resolution.
5. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas.
6. Adhere to good Health & Safety practices at all times.
7. Perform other duties reasonably required by supervision that align with the main purpose of the job.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a similar role with a good understanding of injection/blow moulding processes.
• Understanding of mechanical principles, machine operation, and manufacturing processes.
