A leading company in Corby is looking for a General Operator to perform versatile roles across various departments, primarily in Sorting. The position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to different tasks, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.
The General Operator position is a versatile role covering various departments within the Factory, primarily within the Sorting Department, but also including other areas as needed. The individual must be flexible and supportive of cross-functional duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Sorting Operative: Perform cosmetic pin cleaning, scrap separation, and sorting using manual and automatic methods for coiled pins and tubular products.
Heat Treatment: Operate heat treating equipment in compliance with procedures, ensuring products meet specifications and productivity standards, while adhering to OSHA, EPA, and DEP regulations.
Packer: Pack finished products accurately according to specifications, label correctly, and ensure proper line clearance and packing accuracy.
Picker: Accurately locate and pick orders from the warehouse, restock unused parts, and deliver orders to shipping.
Shipper: Prepare products for shipment, re-pack or re-label as needed, and ensure all customer requirements are met with 100% accuracy.
General: Support other departments such as heat treatment, packing, picking, and shipping. Demonstrate adaptability, sound judgment, and ability to follow instructions.
Additional duties include:
Setting various bowl types according to procedures.
Removing damaged or defective products.
Booking routing stages through Trancollector.
Operating department equipment and processing components.
Monitoring process conditions and maintaining records.
Packing finished products and storing them appropriately.
Locating and preparing goods for dispatch, including loading and collection for external carriers.
Managing raw material movement and booking into the system.
Stock control via cycle counts of finished and raw materials.
Receiving subcontracted work, inspecting, and distributing for processing.
Receiving WIP products, ensuring cleanliness, testing, and sorting.
Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of work areas.
Performing other reasonable duties as required.
