Job description

Surface Mount Machine Operator is required for a long-term contract assignment based in Stevenage.

Responsibilities:

The semi-skilled PEC operator will be responsible for machine manufacturing and self-certification tasks within the deployed business, in accordance with product certification procedures, workmanship standards, budgets, and timescales to meet project objectives.

• Hand soldering Circuit Card Assemblies to IPC 610 & 001 standards.
• Fine soldering under magnification.
• Surface mount and through-hole component assembly.
• Undertake detailed standard assembly/manufacturing activities, ensuring work meets procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and deadlines.
• Contribute to the efficient movement of work and information in manufacturing.
• Adhere to standards and behaviors.
• Comply with health and safety requirements.
• IPC 610 certification/training is preferred.
• Operate equipment to build circuit card assemblies, including:

• DEK screen print machine
• MyCronic pick and place machine
• ERSA reflow solder oven
• Koh Young Automated Optical Inspection
