Job summary

J3a Recruitment is seeking an experienced Machine Operative for a manufacturing facility in Tankersley. You will operate machinery, perform changeovers, monitor performance, and help meet daily KPIs while maintaining quality and safety standards.

This role offers an immediate start, a 40-hour week, and long-term career progression within a growing manufacturing business. Training and development opportunities are available on the job.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machine Operative, Machine Operator, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, or Factory Operative.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Counterbalance FLT licence is desirable (refresher training available for lapsed licences).

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery and production line equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines, operate, and assist with changeovers.
• Monitor machine performance and report faults or breakdowns.
• Work towards daily production KPIs on production lines and electric pressers.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet standards.
• Complete production paperwork and record quality checks.
• Pack finished products and prepare goods for dispatch when required.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area per 5S standards.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse and engineering teams.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
