Job summary

Moulton Bulb Company is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to oversee production machinery in our food processing area. You will operate machines safely, perform pre-starter checks and record results, and ensure orders meet customer specs and deadlines.

The ideal candidate has previous experience operating machinery in the food industry, good communication, and a flexible, team-oriented approach. We offer a pension, on-site facilities, bereavement leave, and overtime premium.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of operating machinery in the food Industry is essential.
• Good communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the business and visitors/auditors.
• A friendly, approachable and flexible attitude to work
• Ability to follow procedures and work to deadlines

Responsibilities

• Operate all machinery safely within health and safety guidelines
• Carry out and record pre-starter checks
• Ensure all staff working in the area follow the procedures in place for hygiene, health and safety and production related matters
• Complete paperwork as required on production control
• Ensure machines run efficiently and orders are produced on time to the correct customer specifications
• Comply with and follow procedures within the quality manual for Goldwood to ensure product produced meets customer specification and also legal requirements.
• Monitor raw material and flag any issues to the Factory Manager and Quality team
• Ensure all machinery, work surfaces and equipment are kept clean in accordance with the company “Clean as You Go” policy.
• Make sure all visitors entering the factory have followed the correct entry procedure and is suitably dressed.
• Provide assistance to management to meet and maintain the requirements of the BRC standard
