Job summary

Moulton Bulb Company is hiring a Hygiene Operative to uphold stringent production and food hygiene standards on site for equipment and the surrounding environment.

You will perform scheduled cleaning, deep cleans, and machinery dismantling to ensure hygienic conditions. The role requires following Health & Safety and Food Safety instructions, with a can-do attitude and attention to detail, including post-clean administration and reporting concerns to team leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience in food industry hygiene operations.
• COSHH training desirable but training can be given.
• Able to work to time pressures.
• Able to follow instructions, written and verbal.
• A ‘can do attitude’ and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks with cleaning equipment, chemicals and sanitisers.
• Deep clean production areas and dismantle/assemble factory machinery for hygiene checks.
• Maintain and repair hygiene equipment and report engineering issues as part of strip downs.
• Record hygiene tasks and adhere to hygiene schedules and safety requirements.
• Ensure orders are collated and dispatched on time; may assist with routine production duties during breakdowns.

# Hygiene OperativePay£14.93per hourShift pattern4 on 4 offNightsShift times19:00 - 06:30ContractFull Time, PermanentCloses26 November 2026What We Are Looking For:A Hygiene Operative to ensure that the most stringent levels of production and food hygiene are maintained onsite for food production equipment and the overall environment. To also ensure all orders are collated and out loaded for dispatch whilst adhering to timescales and company policies, rules and procedures.The Position:* Carrying our scheduled cleaning tasks, using cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitisers* Deep clean of production areas, handling and dilution of cleaning chemicals* Dismantling and assembly of factory machinery to ensure an effective hygiene clean has taken place* Maintain & repair hygiene equipment – foamer units, dosing units, hoses and hose guns* Report any engineering issues that need attention as part of machinery strip downs* Working to hygiene schedules and recording of hygiene tasks that have taken place* Ensure you work safely, following specific cleaning instructions regarding Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements for individual tasks. Focus on responsibility to lock off, isolate and release of equipment* Ensure all PPE and safety equipment is used in line with guidance. Complete post cleaning administration to ensure the hygiene plan is adhered to and attained.
