JAM Recruitment Ltd in Aylesbury is recruiting for a Print Room Operative & Finishing Machine Operator to join our production team on a full-time basis.

You will support printing press operators, run finishing equipment, perform quality checks, and maintain clean, safe work areas. Training provided; competitive salary of £30,000 with a stable five-day week and alternating early/late shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or production environment is desirable, but not essential.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support printing press operators with wash-ups, make-readies, material loading, ink mixing, plate preparation, and general pressroom activities.
• Work closely with the press team to minimise machine downtime and maximise productivity.
• Set up, operate, and monitor print finishing and rotary die-cutting machinery.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards.
• Identify and remove any non-conforming products during production.
• Correctly separate and dispose of waste materials according to company procedures.
• Pack and label finished products accurately and to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure equipment and work areas are clean, organised, and safe at all times.
• Follow all BRC Packaging & Printing Issue 7 standards and company procedures.
• Be flexible in supporting other departments, including finishing and warehouse operations, to provide holiday and operational cover when required.
• Work overtime when necessary to meet business demands.

About the Role
