About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Machine Hygienist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career within a global business with a £2 billion+ turnover.

The Machine Hygienist will ensure all machinery and equipment are cleaned at our Westry site, which is responsible for packing potatoes and onions for our customer, Asda.

Shift: 4 on 4 off, 7am - 7pm & 7pm - 7am (rotating days and nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in operational areas, including the pack house, warehouse, stores, and perimeter of the building.
• Participate in waste processing, water and electricity readings, and record-keeping, including monitoring Sodium Hypochlorite levels and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Handle chemicals in accordance with COSHH training and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with Hygiene Supervisor, Shift Operations Leader, and Area Leader regarding hygiene issues.
• Adhere to hygiene cleaning schedules and record all completed hygiene tasks on relevant sign-off sheets.
• Follow cleaning instruction cards and SOPs.
• Work efficiently to maximize productivity and undertake additional tasks during quieter periods.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience working in a factory environment.
• Practical skills and the ability to work quickly and methodically within a team.
• Understanding of Health and Safety policies.
• Food Safety Level 1 or equivalent.
• COSHH certification.
• Good command of the English language.
• Willingness to undertake training and work flexibly.
