Job summary

Summer-Browning Associates Ltd in London is seeking an M365 Transition Engineer for an initial six-month contract with hybrid working.

The role requires active security clearance and extensive Microsoft 365 support and engineering experience, including incident management, SLA adherence, and documentation.

You will contribute to the transition, reduce escalations, and produce runbooks and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have extensive second-line support experience in secure public sector environments.
• Strong incident management and resolution skills within the 365 platform.
• Experience with SLAs and incident/IR processes.
• Experience creating runbooks, SOPs, knowledge articles.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line support for Microsoft 365 incidents and service requests.
• Adhere to SLTs and reduce queue times and escalations.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
• Support the transition engineering effort for M365 deployments and activities.

M365 Transition Engineer

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client in their search for an M365 Transition Engineer for an initial six-month assignment, with the option to extend.

Location: London / Milton Keynes - Hybrid working

The ideal candidate will hold an active security clearance and have a strong background in Microsoft 365 support & engineering, demonstrating the following skills and experience:

• Extensive experience in second-line support, with a solid understanding of 365 incident management and resolution within secure public sector environments.
  Experience in diagnosing 365 issues, improving time-to-resolution, and creating resolution pathways to reduce queue times, backlogs, and avoidable escalations to third-line support.
• Proven ability to manage 365 Service Requests and Incidents in accordance with Service Level Targets.
• Significant experience in developing and maintaining operational documentation, including runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.
  Certifications in Microsoft 365 Administration and familiarity with ITIL would be highly beneficial.
