Job description

The Senior Technical Architect is responsible for delivering and implementing KPMG’s M365 solutions for our clients. The Senior Architect will be comfortable presenting these solutions to clients in workshops and demonstrations. The Senior Architect will manage the end-to-end delivery working with other Architects and Consultants to ensure our projects are delivered on time and with quality. The Senior Architect will mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative working environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating architectural designs based on customer requirements.
• Delivering product presentations and configured demonstrations to showcase our capabilities in meeting cloud adoption needs.
• Acting as the Technical Design Authority on projects alongside Solution Architects.
• Providing governance to projects and mentoring team members.
• Maintaining technical knowledge by collaborating closely with Microsoft account teams.
• Developing and implementing Entra/Active Directory solutions, including Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Ensuring security and proper configuration of Entra and Active Directory environments.
• Working with clients to demonstrate how their cloud strategies align with Microsoft technologies.
• Showcasing propositions to customers via online webinars and face-to-face workshops.
• Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure understanding of our solutions across the firm.
• Contributing to proposals and RFIs alongside sales and pre-sales teams.

Core Technical Knowledge:

• Proven experience with Entra, including on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Proven experience with M365 migrations and deployments, including tenant merges.
• Proven experience with M365 security and configuration, including Defender for Identity.
• Experience with core M365 applications and services such as Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Viva, SharePoint.
• Experience with M365 governance and data protection services including Information Protection and DLP.
• Background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization technologies, or applications is preferred.
• Experience with Intune and Endpoint security and management.
• Knowledge of M365 business adoption and change management.
• Experience with PowerApps.
• Familiarity with Unified Communications and meeting services.

Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years’ experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery.
• Experience in application and data migration or business process modernization analysis.
• Leadership experience in delivery engagements and managing technical teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and manage relationships in complex environments.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening): capable of presenting information clearly and appropriately for all levels.
• Ability to produce high-quality, professional presentations.
• Attention to detail and consistency in documentation language, terminology, and style.
• Flexible, with a focus on delivering to deadlines and maintaining high standards.
• Discretion and tact in handling confidential information.
• Willingness to obtain or hold HM Government security clearances.
