Job description

The Senior Technical Architect is responsible for delivering and implementing KPMG’s M365 solutions for our clients. The Senior Architect will be comfortable presenting these solutions in workshops and demonstrations. The Senior Architect will manage end-to-end delivery, working with other Architects and Consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time and with quality. The Senior Architect will mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating architectural designs based on customer requirements.
• Delivering product presentations and configured demonstrations to showcase our capabilities in meeting cloud adoption needs.
• Acting as the Technical Design Authority alongside Solution Architects.
• Providing project governance and mentoring team members.
• Maintaining technical knowledge through collaboration with Microsoft account teams.
• Developing and implementing Entra/Active Directory solutions, including Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Ensuring security and proper configuration of Entra and Active Directory environments.
• Working with clients to align their cloud strategies with Microsoft technologies.
• Presenting propositions to customers via webinars and face-to-face workshops.
• Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure understanding of our solutions across the firm.
• Collaborating on proposals and RFIs with sales and pre-sales teams.

Core Technical Knowledge:

• Experience with Entra, including on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Experience with M365 migrations and deployments, including tenant merges.
• Knowledge of M365 security and configuration, including Defender for Identity.
• Familiarity with core M365 applications and services such as Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Viva, SharePoint.
• Experience with M365 governance and data protection services like Information Protection and DLP.
• Background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, or applications is preferred.
• Experience with Intune and Endpoint security and management.
• Knowledge of M365 business adoption and change management.
• Experience with PowerApps.
• Understanding of Unified Communications and meeting services.

Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years’ experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery, including application/data migration or business process modernization.
• Experience leading delivery projects and managing technical teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence in complex environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present clearly to all levels.
• Proficiency in producing high-quality, professional presentations.
• Attention to detail, ensuring consistency in documents and communication.
• Flexible, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
• Willingness to obtain or currently hold HM Government security clearances.
