Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Highways) to support ITS/Technology design across the M25 DBFO network from Leatherhead. You will assist with CCTV, VMS, DMRB guidance, and coordination of design solutions under senior engineers’ guidance.

The role involves preparing drawings, reports, and design submissions, while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure on-time, quality deliverables. A proactive learner with strong communication will thrive.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualification in electrical/electronic disciplines.
• Interest in pursuing professional registration (IET, IHE or similar).
• Basic understanding of ITS/Technology systems and design guidance.
• Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ITS/Technology design for CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT, and MIDAS.
• Contribute to drawings, documents and technical reports.
• Support design reviews and ensure standards compliance.
• Participate in optioneering, data gathering and feasibility tasks.
