Job summary

Yorkshire Housing is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Resource Planning Manager to lead planning, performance and compliance support across gas, electrical and safety programmes. You will lead Senior Resource Planners and Access Officers, ensuring timely delivery, robust data and continuous service improvements.

The role reports to the Head of Mechanical & Electrical, driving governance, assurance and strong customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading planning, scheduling, operational support or compliance teams.
• Strong experience managing performance within a repairs, maintenance, compliance, housing or property-related environment.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements, particularly gas, electrical and wider property safety obligations.
• Experience using operational data, reporting and performance information to identify risks, monitor service delivery and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
• Experience reviewing and improving processes, systems and ways of working to deliver better business and customer outcomes.
• A passion for developing people, building capability and creating high-performing teams.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong IT skills, including experience using Excel and other business systems to manage performance and workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning function coordinating compliance activities, servicing programmes and operational support services.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team, creating accountability, continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
• Ensure workloads, priorities and resources are managed effectively and risks are escalated appropriately.
• Oversee compliance data, reporting and audit trails to support decision-making across the service.
• Champion service improvement by reviewing processes, systems and ways of working to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
