Job summary

BAM is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team on the EGL2 project in Peterhead. You will manage the commercial delivery of M&E works from procurement through to final account, ensuring value is maximised while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.

You will work closely with the Commercial Manager and project teams to provide robust cost reporting, risk management and final account negotiations on a major energy infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical packages and commercial processes.
• Experience administering NEC contracts (preferred).
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to work independently within a project team.
• Qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• RICS membership or working towards chartership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess and process subcontractor applications and payments.
• Administer subcontract agreements, including change management and compensation events.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and cash flow updates.

• Support procurement activities, including tender analysis and subcontract awards.
• Negotiate final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Work collaboratively with operational teams to meet commercial objectives.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting.

We are seeking an experiencedM&E Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on the landmark Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project based in Peterhead. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK's most significant energy infrastructure projects, supporting the successful commercial delivery of major mechanical and electrical works.

Working closely with the Commercial Manager and project delivery teams, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of M&E packages from procurement through to final account, ensuring value is maximised while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• A strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical packages and associated commercial processes.
• Experience administering NEC contracts (preferred).
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a project team.
• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Membership of RICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
