Job summary

AVK-SEG is recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor to support our project team in the commercial management of mechanical and electrical contracting works across energy and power sectors in the UK. You will review contracts, manage variations, and monitor cash flows, ensuring risk is mitigated and final accounts are favourable.

This UK-based, hybrid role requires 5+ years of experience in M&E projects, a degree in engineering, and strong communication with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Typically 5+ years managing mechanical/Electrical contracting projects.
• Sound knowledge of ME principles and industry standards.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve contract terms and manage commercial correspondence.
• Attend site meetings for contractual discussions and advise on issues.
• Value variations and monitor project performance.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and procurement orders.
• Demonstrate expertise in dispute resolution and risk management.
• Collaborate with Project Managers/Engineers and manage supplier/subcontractor orders.
