Job summary

Lee Construction Consultancy Ltd is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our London team. This hybrid role includes remote work and focuses on managing financial aspects of mechanical and electrical projects across the city.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in M&E quantity surveying, knowledge of cost estimation, contracts, and procurement. You will collaborate with engineers, architects and clients to deliver accurate cost plans and savings opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, CIQS) is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the mechanical and electrical sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, and financial management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for mechanical and electrical projects.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and measurements.
• Evaluate and analyze contractor bids, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with specifications.
• Monitor project progress and report on financial status, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Develop procurement strategies, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Provide advice and support to project teams regarding costs, contractual obligations, and risk management.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in M&E quantity surveying.
