Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical services on major construction projects across South Wales. You will manage M&E packages, coordinate subcontractors and site teams, and ensure works meet programme, budget and quality requirements.

You will review designs, resolve technical issues, monitor progress, and drive safe, compliant handovers to clients while maintaining strong stakeholder communication and leadership across

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager or Building Services Manager within a construction contractor.
• Experience delivering mechanical and electrical packages on large-scale building projects.
• Strong knowledge of building services, design coordination, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&E packages on large construction projects to meet programme, budget and quality.
• Coordinate M&E subcontractors, consultants and site teams to integrate building services with wider works
• Review designs, drawings and specs, resolve technical issues and provide design information when required
• Monitor progress against the programme, identify risks and implement solutions to stay on track
• Manage procurement, subcontractor performance, costs and variations with the commercial team
• Oversee QA, health and safety, testing and commissioning of building services installations
• Coordinate final inspections, documentation and handover to meet project specs and client expectations

A leading construction contractor is looking to recruit an M&E Project Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical services on major construction projects across South Wales. This is an opportunity to join a contractor delivering high-value projects, with schemes reaching up to £80m.

What you'll be doing

• * Managing the delivery of mechanical and electrical packages on large-scale construction projects, ensuring works meet programme, budget and quality requirements
• * Coordinating M&E subcontractors, consultants and site teams to ensure building services are integrated effectively with the wider construction works
• * Reviewing designs, drawings and specifications, resolving technical issues and ensuring design information is available when required
• * Monitoring progress against the construction programme, identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep works on track
• * Managing procurement, subcontractor performance, costs and variations in collaboration with the commercial team
• * Overseeing quality assurance, health and safety compliance, testing and commissioning of building services installations
• * Coordinating final inspections, documentation and handover to ensure completed systems meet project specifications and client expectations

What we're looking for

• * Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager or Building Services Manager within a construction contractor
• * Experience delivering mechanical and electrical packages on large-scale building projects, ideally across education, commercial or public sectors
• * Strong technical knowledge of building services, design coordination, installation, testing and commissioning
• * Excellent project management, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive delivery against programme and budget
