Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield is seeking an experienced Meetings & Events Operations Manager to oversee a large events team and ensure flawless guest service across high-profile functions. You will lead event operations, coordinate with senior clients, and drive excellence in delivery and cost management.

This role offers a 45-hour week, a base salary around £38,000 per annum plus service charge, and opportunities for professional development within England’s leading resort.

The Belfry Meetings and Events:

At The Belfry we have beautiful event spaces. Our comprehensive and stylish meeting facilities comprise of 25 conference and banqueting rooms and can cater for a variety of events up to 1000 guests across multiple events in one day. From board meetings to a full scale conference or a product launches and we work with some huge brands and high profile corporate clients. The resort also caters for more leisure based events such as weddings, christenings and birthday celebrations.

Being the one largest department at the resort, our meetings and events department is responsible for over £6m revenue annually, with the a number of bars generating1.6million plus annual revenue. The departmenthas a payroll budget of £1 million with around 120 team members.

You will be given a 45 hour per week contract. As the Meeting and Events Manager, you will be part of the team responsible for the smooth running of the department, ensuring excellent guest service is delivered by the team at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Assistant F&B manager to gain great experience and skills in a multi-faceted role at England’s leading resort.

Salary

The base annual rate for this role is £38,000.00 per annum, plus service charge.

About the role:

You will be given a 45 hour per week contract. As the Meeting and Events Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the department, ensuring excellent guest service is delivered by the team at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring F&B manager to gain great experience and skills in a multi-faceted role at England’s leading resort.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist the Head of Meeting and Events with a hands on approach to the running of the functions and events whilst enhancing the guest experience
• Work closely with organisers, VIPS and other prestigious clients to deliver their expectations ensuring the highest attention to detail
• Liaise with other heads of departments in order deliver what the client wants and maintain working relationships
• Ensure your department exceeds targets by driving success and managing costs
• To assist with managing, training, and developing a large team
