Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking an M&E Engineer in Derby for a full-time, 37.5-hour week. The role focuses on electrical maintenance with mechanical knowledge, including PPMs, reactive works, and on-call duties.

Applicants should hold Level 2/3 electrotechnical qualifications, NVQ3, AM2, and BS7671 18th Edition. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational environments is desirable.
• Electrical competency – BS7671 18th Edition is essential.
• AM2 qualification.
• NVQ level 3 electrotechnical.
• L3 in inspection & testing (2391) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPMs and Reactive works on electrical systems (light fittings, sockets, RCDs, fridges, etc.).
• Carry out mechanical works on energy centre equipment, HVAC components, and water systems.
• Handle reactive callouts on critical systems.
• Complete compliance testing and minor works to JSP375 standard.
• Undertake new installations and major/minor electrical repairs, respond to breakdowns.
• Participate in on-call rota.
