Job summary

Electrical Maintenance Engineer position based in Derby and the East Midlands, offering up to £43,000 base salary plus a company van and fuel card. Monday–Friday with no call-out rota and minimal out-of-hours work in a healthcare facilities portfolio.

Role covers reactive and planned electrical maintenance across multiple commercial sites, with training and ongoing development opportunities. Attractive pension, 25 days leave, and stability on a long-term contract.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is required.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience in facilities management or commercial maintenance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Electrical fault finding and repairs (PPM/Reactive) across multiple healthcare sites.
• 50% Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and 50% Reactive Maintenance.
• Electrical planned preventative maintenance.
• Reactive electrical maintenance.
• Emergency lighting testing.
• Fire alarm testing.
• Lighting and power repairs.
• Distribution board inspections.
• Small electrical installations.
• Inspection and testing.
• Electrical remedial works.
• Compliance checks.
• Completing maintenance documentation.
• Supporting general building maintenance where required.
