Job summary

Fusion People is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager (M&E) to oversee commercial performance across Birmingham-based mechanical and electrical projects. You will lead contract administration, cost reporting and procurement oversight, ensuring margin protection and strong risk management while engaging clients and stakeholders to support project success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Commercial Manager or Senior QS in M&E contracting
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms
• Excellent commercial acumen with profitability improvement track record
• Confident communicator with stakeholder influence
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial activities across M&E projects with cost control and margin protection
• Manage NEC/JCT contracts, variations, claims and change control
• Produce CVRs, forecasts and financial reports for senior leadership
• Oversee subcontract procurement, negotiation and supply chain management
• Support project managers to ensure compliance and timely delivery
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
