Job summary

The Midland in Manchester is seeking a friendly Meetings & Events Porter to join the M&E team. This hands-on role involves setting up, refreshing and clearing rooms to the Leonardo standard, while greeting organisers to ensure guests’ needs are met.

You’ll work well in a team and at times alone, bringing a can‑do attitude, clear communication and a commitment to delivering a first-class experience for guests during busy events.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with guests and event organisers.
• Ability to work calmly in busy event environments.
• Willingness to assist colleagues and support the team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, refresh and clear rooms for meetings and events.
• Greet organisers and ensure guests' needs are met.
• Collaborate with the M&E team to hit department KPIs.
• Provide first-class service during busy events.
