Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Director for M&A Advisory in Scotland (Edinburgh or Glasgow). You will support deal execution and origination for private equity, corporate and entrepreneurial clients, guiding transactions from proposal through completion.

Lead and coordinate teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development while developing junior colleagues in a fast-paced, globally connected practice.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in M&A advisory with lead role in transactions.
• Confident in client situations; demonstrates value through advice.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to model financials.
• Experience in valuation analysis, trading multiples, LBO and DCF.
• Excellent communication and ability to manage junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transactions from start to finish across all stages.
• Serve as main client contact during the transaction process.
• Coordinate and oversee project teams and work streams.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality transaction documentation.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
• Originating opportunities and expanding business network.
