Job summary

Mitie Power & Grid is seeking an experienced Electrical Delivery Lead to coordinate surveys, design reviews, and commissioning across renewables and grid projects. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe, compliant delivery and effective contractor management.

The role requires strong knowledge of BS 7671, NICEIC standards, and CDM, plus hands-on capability with HV/LV systems in Solar PV and BESS environments. Excellent leadership and stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

Strong experience installing electrical works within renewable energy, utilities, industrial or power infrastructure projects.
Good understanding of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and NICEIC requirements.
Experience with grid-connected systems and network operator processes.
Ability to review electrical designs and ensure installations meet standards.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (JIB Gold Card or equivalent).
NVQ Level 3 in Inspection and Testing (2391-52 or equivalent).
Experience with HV and LV systems, Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS).
Experience as or managing an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (QS).
Understanding of CDM regulations and design risk management.
Experience supporting FAT, commissioning, and energisation activities.
Qualifications aligned with Solar PV, Energy Storage (EESS), or EV requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead Electrical Surveys and Grid Connection Activities: oversee site surveys and assess connection points.
Provide Technical Support Throughout Projects: act as main electrical contact for design, construction and commissioning.
Review Designs and Ensure Compliance: lead design reviews to meet standards and requirements.
Ensure Safe and Practical Project Delivery: assess design changes for safety and buildability.
Manage Contractors and Supply Chain Performance: approve contractors and monitor performance.
Support Equipment Selection and Procurement: review equipment selections and assist with FAT/testing.
Maintain Compliance and Develop Team Capability: ensure NICEIC compliance and mentor teams.
