Job summary

g2 Recruitment seeks an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to oversee commissioning and energisation activities on HV infrastructure projects across the UK, including substations and grid connections.

You will coordinate commissioning engineers, subcontractors and safety processes, review test documentation, and liaise with DNOs, National Grid and project stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant handovers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on HV electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of substations, switchgear and transformers.
• Experience managing commissioning programmes and teams.
• Previous involvement in energisation activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through to energisation and handover.
• Coordinate commissioning engineers, SAPs and specialist subcontractors.
• Review commissioning procedures and test documentation.
• Liaise with DNOs, National Grid, OEMs and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
