Job summary

Mitie Power & Grid is recruiting a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join the Rock Power Connections Technical Operations team. You will undertake commissioning activities on distribution power system plant, control and protection equipment to a high level of technical competence.

You will lead commissioning activities on designated projects, coordinate the team, and interact with customers while ensuring safety and quality across LV, MV and HV schemes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a commissioning engineer in the electricity supply industry.
• Experience with LV/MV/HV voltage schemes and protection relays.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to coordinate commissioning activities and lead panels on designated projects.
• Willingness to travel across the UK with reasonable notice.

Responsibilities

• Attend authorisation/induction courses as required by Mitie Power & Grid.
• Maintain test equipment in calibration and suitable for re-use.
• Lead commissioning on projects and act as customer focal point.
• Prepare commissioning documentation and protocols for final project folders.
• Deliver commissioning inspections and testing across a range of plant and equipment.
