Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the Area Operations Manager and Technical Supervisor with reactive and preventative maintenance for building engineering systems.

You will log activity in the CMMS, diagnose faults, and assist with small projects while ensuring compliance with BS7671. Ideal candidates have an electrical apprenticeship (NVQ3) or equivalent and City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical installation; a 18th edition qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have formal electrical training at NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• City and Guilds Level 3 technical certificate in electrical discipline.
• City and Guilds Level 3 in BS 7671 (18th Edition) or be able to obtain it within 3 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain low voltage (LV) electrical systems and perform PPM routines.
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures.
• Deliver small projects and assist with project handovers.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations.
• Diagnose and repair faults.
• Calibrate risk assessments for maintenance tasks.
• Liaise with helpdesk for task responses.
• Maintain site logbooks, compliance certification, and produce reports.
• Undertake the Control of Works Authorised Person (AP) role and support the identification of other APs and CPs in cluster.
• Participate in emergency call-out services and support cost reduction efforts.
• Support team with any other needs as requested by Technical Supervisor and/or AOM.
