Job summary

Champneys Forest Mere is seeking a Front of House Receptionist to be the welcoming face of a luxury health spa brand. You’ll deliver a warm check-in, seamless check-out and outstanding guest experiences from the first hello.

In this full-time role, you’ll handle payments, answer enquiries and liaise with housekeeping to ensure every stay is memorable. Full training provided, with benefits and staff discounts across Champneys resorts.

Qualifications

• A natural people person with a warm, confident and professional approach.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage payments accurately.
• Calm and solutions focused when handling guest feedback or challenges.
• Previous reception or hospitality experience is desirable, but not essential – full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a warm, professional welcome and efficient check in experience
• Managing guest check outs, payments, accounts and robe controls
• Handling guest enquiries, resolving concerns and escalating where appropriate
• Administering payments and end of day procedures in line with company guidelines
• Preparing arrivals for future dates to ensure a seamless guest journey
• Operating the switchboard and transferring calls professionally
• Liaising closely with Housekeeping and other departments to support guest satisfaction
• Supporting continuous improvement of reception performance and profitability
• Completing administrative duties and attending training as required
• Always working in line with Champneys’ policies, procedures and health & safety standards
