Job summary

Silversea seeks an experienced front office leader for shipboard operations. The role focuses on delivering exemplary guest services, coordinating front desk activities, and training reception staff to uphold luxury standards across international itineraries.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years shipboard experience in a 5-star luxury setting, fluent English, and additional language skills. Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities are essential for success aboard a diverse, global crew.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years shipboard experience in a similar position at an International 5-star luxury establishment.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written) with ability to instruct and engage guests and crew.
• Conversational in an additional language (German, French, Spanish, Mandarin).
• Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Sensitivity to cultural differences and ability to work across cultures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead, motivate and develop a culturally diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Provides guests with the highest quality guest services, demonstrating genuine concern for guests wellbeing at all times—Personalized Customer Services.
• Ensures all guest requests, enquiries and complaints are responded to immediately and followed up efficiently and to the guests satisfaction.
• Maintains a high level of communication with the Hotel Director and other departments around the ship.
• Coordinates, organizes and supervises the front office operation.
• Displays a full knowledge of ship facilities, ports of call and services.
• Organizes and leads training sessions for all reception team members to continuously develop their knowledge, techniques, skills, guest focus and sense of service.
