Job summary

Hastings Hotels Group is seeking a reliable Sous Chef to join the Everglades Hotel kitchen in Northern Ireland. Under the Head Chef, you will help maintain Hastings standards of preparation, presentation, and team development to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The role is full-time, with 45 hours per week, typically 12pm-10pm shifts, five days from seven including weekends. Salary is £35,000 per annum; sponsorship may be considered for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience at a similar level in a high quality catering operation.
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent.
• Current Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Right to Work in United Kingdom; Sponsorship may be considered for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of the Kitchen to maintain Hastings standards of preparation and presentation.
• Support the Head Chef in managing the smooth operation and kitchen expenditure.
• Ensure stock management, hygiene, and safety compliance across the kitchen.
• Train and develop kitchen staff to meet Hastings’ quality standards.
