Job summary

Maybourne Hotel Group's Claridge's in London is seeking an exceptional Sous Chef on a casual basis to join the Main Kitchen. You will work alongside top chefs, delivering precise and creative dishes in a fast-paced, five-star environment.

The role focuses on supervising prep, leading a team, maintaining Forbes and LQA standards, and ensuring outstanding guest experiences. This is a hands-on opportunity with ongoing development in a renowned luxury hotel group.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef within a five-star or fine dining environment.
• Be confident in leading, supporting and motivating a team.
• Be skilled at managing service flow and stepping in to support during busy periods.
• Provide intuitive service, with an absolute understanding of our guests' needs to create exceptional service experiences that result in lasting memories.
• Be a team player who is an avid learner who wants to be challenged and developed.
• Have a thorough understanding of Forbes and LQA Standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation of ingredients for and during service, working alongside the Junior Sous Chefs
• Manage and support a team of Commis Chefs, Demi Chef de Parties and Chef de Parties on the section
• Ensure that the highest standards are maintained in the preparation of food
• Support the rest of the kitchen team during service to ensure a smooth operation
• Maintain a positive relationship with the kitchen and front of house team
• Coach and develop the junior members of the team for future succession
