Job summary

Sopwell House in Hertfordshire is seeking a friendly Front of House team member to greet guests, help with luggage and assist with queries in a luxury country house hotel setting.

The role requires a full, valid driving licence and a guest-focused, courteous manner with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and occasional nights; training and development are provided, plus staff discounts, wellness resources and parking on site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a front of house or guest-facing role, ideally within a luxury hotel.
• A full, valid driving licence for handling guest vehicles.
• Excellent guest service skills with a warm, courteous and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and open doors for arriving and departing guests.
• Keep forecourt, entrance and lobby tidy and presentable.
• Assist guests with luggage and provide directions and information about the hotel.
• Park, retrieve and safely manoeuvre guest vehicles with care, keeping keys secure.
• Arrange taxis and help with transport needs for guests.
• Respond to guest queries and requests, resolving complaints promptly.
• Cover night shifts on occasion and support the Front Office team.
