Job summary

Cambridge House, Auberge Collection in London seeks a Head Doorman to welcome guests and orchestrate arrivals and departures with discretion and grace. You will lead by example and coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, Bell and Housekeeping to ensure seamless moments from arrival to departure.

The role requires significant five-star hotel experience, a polished and welcoming presence, and a Full UK driving licence, in a historic Mayfair setting that defines luxury hospitality.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Head Doorman or Senior Doorman in luxury/hospitality.
• Polished communication skills with etiquette and discretion.
• Ability to build trust with guests, staff and partners.
• Collaborative approach to supporting and developing team members.
• Coordinate arrivals, departures, vehicle movements and luggage with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Curate arrival and departure experiences with warmth and care.
• Oversee the entrance to maintain elegance and reflect the House's character.
• Lead by example with professional presentation and genuine hospitality.
• Be a familiar presence for returning guests and remember important details.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, Bell and Housekeeping for seamless arrivals/departures.
• Ensure guests and luggage are handled with precision and attentiveness.
• Partner with Security to maintain a secure, unobtrusive environment.
• Foster a culture of kindness, collaboration and pride among the team.
• Act on guest feedback to enhance memorable experiences.
• Care for the historic House, neighbourhood and environment.
