Job summary

Selfridges & Co in London is seeking an Event Co-ordinator to support a programme of exclusive events, projects and customer engagement strategies. You will work with the central events team to deliver experiences for elite customers and attract new ones, ensuring exceptional service and tailored communications across touchpoints.

You will manage multiple projects, coordinate with VIP and Personal Shopping teams, and liaise with vendors while ensuring Health & Safety, GDPR and data security.

Qualifications

• Experience in events including production and communications (preferably Luxury retail)
• Excellent written and presentation skills
• Great and natural ability to network and build relationships across functions

Responsibilities

• Support the Event Manager to curate, develop & deliver strategic communications, events, and experiences for our customers
• Work as part of a team to support and deliver events and activities to a high standard
• Track and document events including RSVPs, sales, attendance, feedback, successes, and learnings
• Brief event communications that support newsletter creation and delivery
• Costing and project budgeting by raising, tracking PO’s and invoices and following through to budget reconciliation
• Communicate projects to stakeholders with Project Packs, critical paths and briefing documents
• Develop and maintain strong relationships across the business and with partners and suppliers
• Coordinate between VIP and Personal Shopping to ensure streamlined communication and workflow
• Negotiate with vendors and create contracts with in-house legal team
• Support team on research and presenting materials for projects
• Ensure events meet Health and Safety, Security standards as well as GDPR and data security
• Brief Graphics and Creative for event collateral and builds
• Support and deliver events on live days and during setup with staff management and hosting
• Client liaison for duration of projects
• Support Event Manager with planning and delivering franchises
• Demonstrate enthusiasm to deliver innovative, creative, exciting projects
