Job summary

Soho House in London is seeking a Runner to support service between kitchen and front-of-house, delivering food and drinks promptly while keeping a clean, organized work area. You will assist waiting staff and help ensure members have a superior dining experience.

You will also engage with members to provide personalized service, work with POS and reservation tools, and uphold professional standards. 2–3 years in a similar setting and excellent communication are expected.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge, including wine service.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach.
• Confident, polished, and professional demeanour.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food/drink quickly from kitchen/bar to members.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment.
• Provide service to and is accountable for an assigned section.
• Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
• Polishing cutlery ensuring they are ready for service.
• Preparing any additions to tables in advance (lemon wraps, condiments, butter portions etc)
• Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations.
• Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
• Attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
