Description: Diageo, established in 1997, is a global leader in beverage alcohol with over 200 brands including Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Crown Royal, Baileys, and Guinness. We aim to expand our luxury market share through a dedicated business unit in the GB Market, focusing on building iconic luxury brands and strategic partnerships.

This role is a leadership position reporting to the Head of Luxury On-trade, responsible for managing the P&L of premium outlets in GB, leading a team of Key Account Managers, Activation Executives, and Marketing Managers in Central England. The successful candidate will embody Diageo’s ambition to be the top-performing, most-trusted consumer goods company, reflecting luxury brand values and style.

The Luxury On-trade team plays a vital role in elevating Diageo’s presence among the top 10% of on-trade accounts, connecting brands with luxury consumers. The role involves leading a transformational journey to achieve luxury ambitions.

Top Accountabilities

  1. Drive internal P&L and market share growth of the Diageo Luxury portfolio, providing strategic direction and market insights.
  2. Partner with the Luxury Marketing team to activate brands in outlets, increasing visibility and talkability.
  3. Develop and maintain senior relationships with key retail group owners and managers.
  4. Meet distribution and execution targets monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  5. Foster an inclusive team culture that develops world-class customer relationships.

Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities

  • Leadership experience in luxury or high-end accounts in the on-trade sector preferred.
  • Proven track record managing influential retail customers and creating new opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of influential on-trade GB customers and commercial planning.
  • Strong relationships with industry influencers and knowledge of ground realities.
  • Experience in building and activating luxury brands with marketing teams.
  • Category knowledge across spirits and alcohol categories, with a passion for premium brands.
  • Advanced negotiation, relationship-building, and P&L skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and interact confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset to grow existing and new customer bases.
