Job summary

Harrods in Knightsbridge is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager for our Store Services cleaning operation. You will lead a team of 3 direct and 18 indirect reports, driving performance, training and people development in a luxury retail environment.

Key responsibilities include resource planning, sustainability initiatives, and coaching front-line teams to deliver outstanding service across shifts from early morning to evenings and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Manager in a cleaning environment.
• Proactive, responsive leader with strong people management.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Good understanding of HR policy and compliance.
• Fully flexible to work 5 out of 7 days including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 direct and 18 indirect reports to deliver cleaning excellence.
• Allocate cleaning operations and team leaders, review business needs and actions.
• Oversee recycling activity and coach operatives on waste disposal.
• Manage cleaning materials, uniforms and equipment, ensuring safety and training.
• Pivot operations between routine cleaning, daily work and reactive needs.
• Provide proactive coaching to maximise team performance.
