Job summary

Iconic Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Commis Pastry Chef to join our luxury kitchen team at New Milton. You will support the Head Pastry Chef, prepare pastry items, maintain high standards of quality and presentation, and assist with daily duties in a fast-paced, upscale hotel environment.

Ideal candidates have pastry experience, an eye for detail, and good teamwork. The role offers a competitive salary (£31,724.16 for 48 hours per week or £26,436.80 for 40 hours per week) plus a service charge,

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen within the pastry team is advantageous.
• Background in pastry/baking is highly desirable.
• You will have keen eye for detail, organisational skills and confident in communicating with the team.

Responsibilities

• To take pride in high standards of specified work in accordance with the Head Pastry Chef instructions
• To prepare food delegated as your responsibility, to be passionate about the highest possible quality is maintained and that agreed standards for food preparation and presentation are met at all times under guidance from the Head Pastry Chef
• To remove any hazards and make safe any defects in the kitchen or its equipment and report any problems to a senior chef
• To adhere to company procedures in regards to temperature checks, food labelling and dating, cleaning schedules and hygiene regulations at all times ensuring that all records are maintained
• To assist with the acceptance and storage of deliveries and that all relevant company procedures are adhered through teamwork.
• To work as part of a team in a constructive manner that enables the hotel to achieve the objective of being a market leader in the luxury hotel sector
• All staff should be confident in understanding and executing the company's policies and procedures with respect to privacy, confidentiality and data protection.
