Job summary

Flakefleet Primary School in Fleetwood is seeking a caring Welfare Assistant to provide lunchtime pastoral support for a Year 6 pupil with an EHCP. The role focuses on promoting positive peer relationships, supporting emotional wellbeing, and acting as a trusted adult mentor within the school day.

The successful candidate will be warm, approachable, and able to build confident, inclusive relationships with children.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and/or EHCPs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children.
• Reliable and flexible lunchtime supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide lunchtime pastoral support for a Year 6 pupil with an EHCP.
• Encourage positive peer relationships and support emotional wellbeing.
• Act as a trusted and consistent adult mentor within the school day.
