Flakefleet Primary School in Fleetwood is seeking a friendly Lunchtime Welfare Assistant to join our team. You will help supervise pupils during lunch, encourage good table manners and support playtime in our OPAL playground.

The role is part-time and term-time only; the salary quoted is for full-time hours and will be paid pro-rata. The successful candidate will share our commitment to safeguarding and creating a safe, happy midday experience.

Qualifications

  • Safeguarding training or qualification.
  • First Aid training or qualification.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support children during lunch periods.
  • Encourage good table manners.
  • Ensure playtime after lunch is safe and enjoyable on the OPAL playground.

Summary We’re on the lookout for a Lunchtime Welfare Assistant to join our wonderful team – could it be you?

At Flakefleet Primary, our schoolisn’t just a place to play — it’s where dreams begin, friendships are made overfood, and even lunch becomes a learning experience. We’re looking for a kind, caring and reliable Lunchtime Welfare Assistant to help make our children’s midday experience safe, happy and full of smiles. Working with our fabulous children, you’ll support them during lunch, encourage good table manners and make sure playtime afterwards is fun, safe and full of fun in our platinum awarded OPAL playground.

Flakefleet Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be expected to support the caring and family ethos of the school.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
