Job summary

Hatton Hill Primary School is seeking an energetic lunchtime welfare assistant to supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, ensure safe and happy dining and playtime, and assist with light cleaning duties. The role supports both infant and junior pupils within a busy school day and contributes to safeguarding and welfare standards.

The successful candidate will work 6.25 hours per week during term time, Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 13:15, with an Enhanced Disclosure required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or the ambition to do so.
• Able to work in a busy school environment.
• High standard of care for all children and understanding of safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels; a team player who wants to raise standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support children during lunch and tidy trays and tables.
• Carry out playground duties following lunchtime supervision.
• Assist with light cleaning duties as required.
• Ensure children's safety and happiness during lunchtime sessions.
