Job summary

Mount Pleasant Primary School is seeking a enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to help supervise pupils during lunch and playtimes. The role focuses on safety, active play, and positive behavior, with training provided where needed.

The post is fixed term until August 2027, term time only (46 weeks) and 7.5 hours per week. A DBS check and standard pre-employment checks apply; prior school experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising children in a dining or play setting is preferred but training is provided.

Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

Salary: Band 1 (SCP 3) £4,581 – Actual Salary

Fixed Term Contract: Until August 2027, Term Time Only, 46 weeks

Hours: 7.5 hours per week

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, committed and organised individuals to join our vibrant, successful & supportive school family, who have the skills and energy to make our children's lunchtimes safe, active and fun.

Responsibilities will include supervising children in the dining hall and playground, ensuring that children enjoy their lunchtime experience whilst maintaining standards of behaviour. Applicants would benefit from having prior experience in an educational setting, but this is not essential as training can be provided for suitable applicants.
