Job summary

Bournville Village Primary School is seeking a friendly Lunchtime Supervisor to join our caring, inclusive team. You will supervise pupils in dining areas and playgrounds, help create a calm lunchtime, promote good manners and healthy eating, and support safe, enjoyable activities under our safeguarding standards.

• Friendly, reliable and passionate about helping children enjoy a safe and positive lunchtime.
• Previous experience of working with children would be beneficial, but not essential, as training and DBS checks provided.

• Support pupils who may require additional help during lunchtime.
• Respond appropriately to minor accidents or incidents, following school procedures.
• Work closely with colleagues to safeguard pupils and ensure their welfare at all times.

Bournville Village Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Lunchtime Supervisor to join our dedicated team.

The Role:

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise pupils in the dining areas, playgrounds and other designated spaces during the lunchtime period.

Previous experience of working with children would be beneficial, but it is not essential, as appropriate training and support will be provided.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and all other relevant pre-employment checks. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon these requirements being satisfactorily completed.

The successful applicant will also be required to register with and pay for the DBS Update Service, provide documentary evidence to support annual compliance checks and give written consent for the school to access this information when required.
