Job summary

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor for Wednesfield Technology Primary. The role covers supervision of pupils during lunch, oversight of playtime, and assistance with wet play, within a collaborative team. DBS clearance will be required as part of safeguarding duties.

Working 11:30am to 1:00pm, 7.5 hours per week during term time, with a pay band reflecting SCP 4 and annual pro rata salary. Closing date 18 October 2026; interviews 23 October 2026. 

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children during school mealtimes is desirable.
• Excellent communication with pupils and staff is required.
• Ability to work within a team to support lunchtime routines.

• Deal with incidents of behaviour according to school policy.
• Assist in the preparation and tidying up of supervised areas.
• Promote good behaviour and polite table manners within the dining area.

POST: Lunchtime Supervisor

LOCATION: Wednesfield Technology Primary

SALARY: Band B, SCP 4 £26,017 per annum pro rata (£4,604 per annum)

HOURS: 7.5 hours per week, Term Time only (11:30am – 1:00pm)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of children at lunch time, as well as overseeing playground duty and wet play. They will be a committed and enthusiastic individual, keen to make an impact on the lives of our children. They will be able to work as part of a collaborative team and also take initiative where necessary. They need to be excellent communicators to help ensure that our catering operation is organised and successful.

• Promote good behaviour, polite table manners and social skills within the dining area and around school
