Job summary

Academics is assisting Penarth Primary School in Wales to recruit a caring Lunchtime Supervisor. The role runs Monday to Friday, 11:30am–1:30pm, offering stable hours within a friendly school environment for the midday period.

You will supervise pupils, promote safe play, support positive behaviour, follow safeguarding procedures, and report concerns to staff. Essential: enhanced DBS, right to work documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is essential.
• Experience within a Primary School or as a Lunchtime Supervisor is highly desirable.
• A caring, patient and approachable personality.
• Someone who can confidently manage and engage with pupils.
• Reliable and committed to working Monday to Friday in Penarth.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pupils during break and lunchtime.
• Supporting children to play safely and positively.
• Engaging with pupils and encouraging positive behaviour.
• Helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Following school safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
• Reporting any concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
