Job summary

Scartho Gateway Academy in Grimsby is seeking a reliable Midday Supervisory Assistant to help supervise lunch and manage pupil movement during the midday break. The post is permanent, 6.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11.45am to 1.00pm, and links with our kitchen team to ensure safe, orderly dining.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Food Hygiene Safety
• Certificate in allergies (and anaphylaxis)
• Fire Warden Training
• Safeguarding (Level 1)

Responsibilities

• Liaising with Academy colleagues to ensure correct lunch is served and fulfill general admin requirements
• Following safeguarding protocols and dietary/allergen needs
• Supervising pupils during lunch and the midday break, indoors and outdoors
• Communicating effectively with students and staff
• Mobilising groups and individuals, ensuring safe, orderly movement
• Undertaking ancillary duties as needed
• Maintaining safe movement and organisation of students and furniture
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of work areas and spillages cleanup
• Occasionally serving lunch prepared off-site
