Job summary

Holy Family Multi Academy Trust is seeking a caring Midday Assistant to supervise pupils during lunch, ensuring welfare and safety. You will help with corridors, toilets and the yard, engage with children and assist with lunch hall duties while following school policies.

The role requires a supportive, team-focused approach with excellent communication and a commitment to child safeguarding and positive behaviour during the midday break.

Qualifications

• Be kind, caring and committed to promoting a positive lunchtime environment.
• Possess sound judgment and good communication with children and staff.
• Ability to work as part of a team to supervise pupils during lunch times.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch, including corridors, toilets and main yard.
• Support welfare and safety, engage with children and maintain order in lunch hall.
• Provide guidance on table manners and use of cutlery where needed.
• Ensure safeguarding and promote positive behaviour during midday break.
• Coordinate with staff to manage large numbers of pupils during lunch and on wet lunchtimes.
